EFJCA Yearly report 2018 & 2019

June 26, 2020

The EFJCA proudly presents the EFJCA Yearly Report 2018 & 2019. The report gives an overview of the development of the European Family Justice Center Alliance/Alliance for Hope and Empowerment, its vision and mission, but more important also an overview of our international activities.

3 new centers and members

Due to administrative reasons we have merged 2018 and 2019 in 1 document. We welcomed in 2018 and 2019 3 new centers: FJC Bordeaux/Maison d'Ella (France), FJC Bjarmahliõ/Akureyri (Iceland) and FJC Milan/SVSeD (Service for Sexual and Domestic Violence) & Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico (Italy).

With effect from 2020 the EFJCA board has been expanded and we are very happy to welcome 3 new members: Lienja van Eijkern & Sander Lighthart (both from the Netherlands) and Dries Wijckmans (Belgium/FJC Limburg). We also expanded our team with 5 new external Trainers/Advisors: Dr. Cath White (U.K.), dr. Elise Geuens (Belgium), Willem Beckers (Belgium), Chan Hellman and James Henderson (both U.S.A.). One of our board-members from the beginning, Tammo Holtland (treasurer) stepped down as of 2020 for personal reasons. We are very grateful to him for the commitment from the start of the European FJC work. More information about who they are and their backgrounds can be read on our website.

Renewed our website

Mentioning our EFJCA website, we have renewed our website. We would appreciate it if you want to take a little bit of your time to go thoroughly through the website and gives us your feedback. Our objective is to make the website as strong as possible and therfore we also need your help.

During the last months we tried to organise a online meeting with our FJC's, but due to busy activities and obligations of all of us it was not possible to organise such a meeting. We still want to organise an online meeting in second half August and we ask you to send us an email whether you want to participate.

We wish you all a healthy and great summer and hope to see/speak you all soon.
