Conference 'Strengthening coordinated responses to domestic violence'
Our Moldovan colleagues of the Women’s Law Center organized a specialized training session focused on strengthening collaborative mechanisms for intervention and protection of victims of domestic violence through the One Stop Center / Family Justice Center model. The project is co-funded by the EU.

Grevio member Aleid van den Brink, EFJCA member Valerie Swennen and I were invited by Angelina Zaporojan-Pîrgari of the Women’s Law Center to join the conference and bring key-note speeches.
The day brought together policymakers, law enforcement, and practitioners to explore:
- The added value of multidisciplinary, integrated approaches in high-risk cases
- Risk assessment and management within Family Justice Centers
- The role of police in coordinated responses
- Victim-centered and trauma-informed approaches
- The identification and impact of non-fatal strangulation
- Lessons from femicide reviews and risk factors

It was a rich exchange of practice-based knowledge, reinforcing the importance of strong inter-agency cooperation to ensure effective protection and prevention. Grateful to be part of these important conversations advancing safety, accountability, and systemic change across Europe.
