Bio Leticia Matarranz

Leticia Matarranz is an inspector of the Spanish National Police, with a Law degree and a Master’s in Human Rights, Migration, and Diversity.
Since March 2023, serving as Head of the VioGén System Service within the Secretariat of State for Security at the Ministry of the Interior.

Bringing over 20 years of experience in the Spanish National Police, with a career focused on leading operational units in counter-terrorism, border control, human trafficking, and migrant smuggling. Additionally, I have actively promoted initiatives aimed at advancing human rights and gender equality within the police force.

Much of this work has been carried out in international settings, gaining extensive experience through collaboration with organizations such as Europol, Frontex, the United Nations, OSCE and the Council of Europe.
