Bio Dries Wyckmans

Dries Wyckmans is a leading expert in the prevention and multidisciplinary response to domestic and gender-based violence in Flanders, Belgium. With over 20 years of experience, he has coordinated regional and national programs tackling domestic violence. He was the co-founder of the Family Justice Center Limburg.

As Acting Department Head at "Veilig Huis", he steered the development of Family Justice Centers (FJCs) across Flanders. He has led several European projects under ISEC and DAPHNE, promoting coordinated care and safety in situations of domestic violence. A three-time recipient of the Belgian Prize for Security and Crime Prevention, his work bridges policy, practice and community engagement.

Dries is also a published author on family violence intervention strategies. He actively contributes to the European Family Justice Center Alliance. His commitment is rooted in creating sustainably safer environments for victims and families.
