Bio Davy Simons

Davy Simons is a criminologist working for the City of Antwerp. He serves as the strategic coordinator of the Family Justice Center / Veilig Huis Antwerpen.

Since 2000, he has been involved in numerous initiatives and projects, with inter-agency collaboration as a consistent theme. His early work focused on at-risk youth, later expanding to include other target groups such as the homeless and individuals involved in drug-related nuisance, as well as neighborhoods with high levels of crime and disorder.

From 2010 onwards, his focus increasingly shifted toward domestic violence, leading to the launch of Belgium’s first coordinated multi-agency response and later the development of the Family Justice Center.
