ECHO

ECHO, Resonance for survivors of child abuse by Anna Defossez and Melanie De Roose from Echo, peer support group Echo (Belgium), VECK (Flemish Expertise Center on Child Abuse)

Abstract

We notice that bystanders, children, perpetrators, aid workers, survivors... often remain silent when it comes to child abuse. Why is everyone silent?

The message is clear. To stop or prevent child abuse more, we need to speak up.
What can we do and mean together? How can we speak up when we are worried? Without having to solve everything. You don't have to be a hero to mean a lot.

The writers in the book OverLeven already chose to speak.
