Drawing on both scientific evidence and clinical practice, we move beyond diagnostic labels and gender stereotypes to explore characteristics and motives of perpetrators. We examine how individual characteristics, relationship dynamics, situational factors, and broader vulnerabilities interact. The session offers professionals a nuanced framework for understanding perpetrators and for thinking about risk and prevention.
